Love and War: Act I

Glad you enjoyed it, GoneWind. :) As for the older Act II demo, I'm afraid the save from the latest version of Act I isn't really compatible with it (all sorts of strange things may happen, switches being thrown that shouldn't be, items that ought not to exist, and so on), so I'd strongly suggest loading the default save provided if you want to play the demo. Hope you enjoy!

Love and War: Act I

That's great news, GoneWind! Thank you very much for sharing your discovery with us - I shall go ahead and make a blog post to inform any others who've had trouble with Windows 8 and RM2K games. :)

Sad, I really wanted to play the game. but it does not work for me. Might be a thing with rm2k games and win8 :\

Sorry to hear that GoneWind, I have heard that a few people with Windows 8 have had trouble with RM2K games. :( Is there any error message in particular that might give us a clue?

Many thanks for taking the time to submit a review!

Love and War: Act I Review

Thanks for taking the time to review Act I, Gibmaker! Indeed, the books are there for those who are interested in learning more about the background lore of the world. Those who aren't interested in that sort of thing can skip it. :) Ultimately, it feels like LAW falls into the "not your cup of tea" category, which is unfortunate but the sort of thing that is inevitable at some point, I suppose! Still, it was interesting hearing your thoughts, and thanks for sharing them (and I'm sorry that it was... downright painful for you at times? :'( ).

Afraid not, though a cameo from Captain James T. Kirk would be pretty cool...

Love and War: Act I

Howdy NathanFrey, good to hear you're having fun so far! The Queen Worm is definitely a fearsome opponent, but it sounds like you've got the levels to beat her. If you're struggling with this one, I would suggest that you repeatedly clear out all the Shagath worms she spawns to ensure that they don't self destruct - Juno and Ryan can't take too much of that punishment. Juno's Bladestorm is ideal for that. If you have a Bang cartridge for Ryan, he can help as well. Otherwise, he should mostly heal himself and Juno and take a shot when he can. Finally, if you did a certain side-quest, you should have a Feather item that does Lightning damage, which this boss is weak against. Best of luck!

Kanifer: Always great to see former players return to check the revamp out. :) Yes, the good Professor is correct in noting that Armin's Thievery maxes out at Level 3, though if you got that in the first area, you're really persistent!

Professor Q: Hehe, well... Act II is not necessarily Lavie's time to shine, but she's not forgotten, certainly. And I really like the idea of an Armin/Ryan quest too, but I don't know that there's opportunity for such in Act II, either... Ah well, time will tell all things!

Merry Christmas to all by the way, and a Happy St. Mikhail's Day!
